ALEX LEIGH

Alex has worked with over fifty UK universities, most of the sector agencies including UCAS, HESA and the QAA and a host of practitioners in the HE sector. Alex designed and developed the HEDIIP data capability framework, led the team to create the HESA in-year collection model, designed the sector-level governance for reporting and co-developed the UCISA Higher Education capability model. Alex is known for his passion and practicality when it comes to finding compelling reasons to treat data as an asset. With over twenty years experience of data and data-related projects and frameworks, he starts with outcomes and works back from there.

JOANNA FULFORD CDMP

Senior Data Governance Coach

Jo has worked with data and CRM systems in the not-for-profit sector for over 25 years and as an independent consultant since 2018. Jo is passionate about helping organisations of all sizes and causes overcome their frustrations with poor-quality data so they can deliver their mission efficiently, with reliable information, and with confidence that they are GDPR compliant. Jo has worked with me using my methodology to implement a Data Governance framework for two of my clients, and often helps out on my courses.

Jo is a Certified Data Management Professional (DAMA) and also has formal qualifications in Business Analysis from the BCS.

Justin York

Senior Data Governance Coach

I have worked with Justin for a number of years, and he is very familiar with my approach and methodology.  Justin is currently supporting me at a couple of my clients.

Justin York has over 20 years of experience in the field of data and information management, in defence, financial services, charity and legal FMCG and Pharma environments; Justin has experience in the design and development of Data Governance policies, operating models and processes to support the implementation of governance frameworks. His extensive knowledge is reinforced with a technical background which enables him to discuss complex issues around data, across the business/technical divide.

When Justin is not involved in Data Governance activities, he coaches and mentors in the field of change management using his own methodology, Rubicon-OPM® to address the issues of resistance, friction and conflict during change activity. Through this approach, centred on people, the impacts of the common issues are reduced and performance increased enabling better delivery to deadlines.

 

Rav Ubhi-Adams

Associate Data Governance Coach

Rav has almost 20 years’ experiencein the curation and provision of data within both private and public sectors. Rav’s area of expertise is in UK higher education having led, implemented, and advised on a breadth of data activities. Examples include system review /implementation; data extraction and transformation; strategic data storytelling; impactful data quality analyses and building effective and efficient data processes. Her path into Data Governance was a natural advancement through these fields, which solidified her passion to progress business toward data maturity and to increase momentum in embedding data management.

 

Nicole Hartley

Associate Data Governance Coach

Nicole started out her career as a Business Analyst but then developed a keen interest in data and subsequently transitioned into the field of Data Governance, where she gained 11 years of experience. She helped drive all aspects of the Data Governance framework as part of a large-scale, global ERP transformation programme. As well as being involved in the analysis and design of Data Governance systems, she played a key role in defining data processes, compiling data policies and identifying data quality rules. Nicole recognises the importance of developing a strong data culture in an organisation in order for data governance initiatives to be successful.
